On holiday

We spent the first week of May staying in Whitianga and exploring the Coromadel Peninsula. Despite heavy rain warnings and flooding in parts of the peninsula, we enjoyed great weather and had a wonderful, relaxing time. Iris enjoyed the Driving Creek Railway, had a great time at Hot Water Beach and enjoyed playing in the sand at Lonely Bay, near Cooks Beach.

March/April 2006

We took Iris to the zoo for the first time in March. She loved the zebras and the giraffes, but slept through the lions and cheetahs! We also had a visit from Iris' great grandmother, Rana, in April. It was Rana's first visit to Wellington for many years so we enjoyed driving her around her old haunts around Miramar and Seatoun, as well as spending time at our place so she could get to know Iris.

Summer 2005/06 - visitors galore!

We had a great summer catching up with friends. Iris enjoyed making new friends and being the centre of attention! Sarah P., visiting from London, with Iris.
